The luxuriant vegetation visible along the river is a remnant of the vast forested area which once covered the middle hills of Nepal. In the afternoon a small outfitters are but technical rapid is encountered near the village of Saranghat, inhabited by Magars, who are renowned for generation of service with the Gurkha forces.
